Microsoft Unified Communications Workshop

April 2007

The Microsoft competency team within Megabyte, in collaboration with Microsoft, organised three successful half-day workshop seminars at their training centre within the Mosta Technopark. The attendance for the ‘Microsoft Unified Communication Workshop’ seminars was remarkable.  The turnout was so overwhelming that Megabyte plans to organise a repeat session of these seminars next month. This will give an extra opportunity to those IT professionals who did not manage to secure their booking in time for the first workshops, to attend.

The seminar attracted numerous IT Managers and Systems Administrators from various businesses, and presented them with the opportunity to experience first hand the new built-in features of Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 and Microsoft Live Communication Server 2005, which are both collaboration tools built on Microsoft’s next generation unified communications platform.

At the workshop seminars, Megabyte highlighted how these new collaboration tools enhance business productivity by streamlining and simplifying the way employees communicate. They enable any organisation to connect the right people to the right data at the right time, which adds value to business information.

Such tools are also indispensable for business people who are constantly on the move, enabling them with mobile access to e-mail, instant messaging and enterprise search. These unified technology tools help ensure rapid, widespread adoption, especially when employees have already used familiar Microsoft Office system tools for communication.

When commenting on this workshop seminar, John Ambrogio – General Manager at Megabyte Ltd. said that “As a Microsoft Gold Certified Partners, Megabyte maintains an investment in an entire team of Microsoft Certified System Engineers who receive regular training and support from Microsoft, to continually provide our customers with a positive experience with Microsoft technologies.”
