Oracle thanks all its partners who nominated and supported Oracle in the IT Europa European IT Excellence Awards which were presented in London on 10th February. Oracle won the European Vendor of the Year category, and Oracle EMEA SVP of Channel and Alliances, Stein Surlien, was a close runner up shortlisted for Channel Personality of the Year.
Oracle is deeply honoured to receive the Vendor of the Year award. What makes it so important is that to enter the award, Oracle had to be nominated by its channel partners; vendors cannot put themselves forward. The entries had to show to have developed a channel program that has enabled its partners to increase their business profitability and improve their competitiveness by using the entry's products. Following was a rigorous assessment by the judging panel.
So, for Oracle, it is a great achievement. It shows that the partners recognize the benefits and value of working with Oracle, and what a long way Oracle have come since Oracle PartnerNetwork Specialized was launched in 2009.
