To achieve this important strategic imperative, Fortina’s management decided to upgrade their current Hotel Management system to a world-class Micros-Fidelio Opera Property Management System (PMS), from a reliable partner, to manage its resort facilities.

As MICROS-Fidelio system partners, Megabyte Ltd was commissioned to supply, implement and support all the components of a fully integrated Hotel management system comprising of the OPERA Xpress PMS hosted on a robust, state-of-the-art HP servers.

The first phase of the hotel system went live on the 1st of May, and now with OPERA Xpress, Fortina Spa Resort can leverage the advanced integrated technology of the full service OPERA PMS, yet can choose only the feature, functionality settings and/or parameters that are applicable to its business needs. Using OPERA's XML Xchange Interface (OXI), the resort will now have seamless connection to previously selected third party systems; namely their Alcatel PABX Telephone Management system, Vingcard door locking electronic key system, Locatel PayTV video service system as well as their Bartech Mini-Bar system and their Financial application. OPERA Xpress functionality allows Fortina to deliver uniquely tailored services for each of its client’s exigencies while executing service excellence across its property.

For the second phase of the deployment, Fortina plans to roll out additional modules to Opera Xpress; in particular Opera Activities, which is Micros-Fidelio’s flagship Spa & Resort Management Solution. This easy-to-use though comprehensive management solution will be available for the resort’s "bookable" facilities and activities. With Opera Activities in place, appointments can be booked quickly and efficiently as the system automatically finds available times and controls multiple services and allocates the designated qualified staff members. Its tight integration with OPERA’s database, enables customer profile sharing, cross postings and direct room billing facilities to increase the Spa Resort’s versatility and manageability.
