The IATA Billing and Settlement Plan is a system designed to facilitate and simplify the selling, reporting and remitting procedures of IATA Accredited Passenger Sales Agents, as well as improve financial control and cash flow for Airlines.
Through Megabyte’s B.S.P. (Italy) System, airlines can record invoices for sales commission received from Italian BSP Agents.
According to Italian fiscal obligations, all airlines operating from Italian territory must record in their VAT registers all invoices paid for sales commission. By downloading a monthly file from Italy BSP site and importing it to the Megabyte B.S.P. System, airlines can easily record invoices received from IATA BSP agents and automatically update their purchase ledger.
The B.S.P. (Italy) System also provides the functionality to allow users to select a month from the list of months which are still open and display all pending commission/refund lines of that selected month. Upon user confirmation, the system will generate an Auto Fattura for the pending/not received agent’s invoices.
