The purpose of this seminar is to introduce
Oracle e-business products that offer
affordable and low-risk
solutions
to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). This
seminar was targeted specifically for
Managing Directors, CEOs, CFOs, CIOs and IT
Managers of SMEs.
During this seminar, the Oracle EBS
E-Business Suite Special Edition (EBS SE)
and other Oracle business solutions for SMEs
were discussed. Megabyte will also presented
practical case studies of its Oracle
e-business suite implementations.
Mr. Mark Sweetko, EBS SE Sales Director, SME
Applications EMEA, Oracle Corp, provided an
extensive review of Oracle’s strategy for
SMEs. He highlighted the need for SMEs to be
competitive, reduce costs, and ultimately,
increase their profits. Mr. Sweetko also
stressed that Orace’s EBS SE - an integrated
business solution for SMEs – is a solution
designed specifically for SMEs to reach such
targets. This is possible since EBS SE is a
pre-configured, affordable, easy to use and
scalable system that serves as a single
source for business information and allows
SMEs to streamline their business processes.
Ms. Mary Grace Busuttil, Manager for
Megabyte’s Oracle Enterprise Solutions
Business Unit, discussed Megabyte’s
experience in implementing Oracle E-Business
Suite solutions. Case studies were presented
to explain the business problems faced by
such clients and how both Oracle solutions
and Megabyte’s consultancy, training and
support services met such business
challenges.
The suite of Oracle solutions for SMEs was
presented by Mr. Kevin Attard, Business
Development Manager for Oracle Malta. These
included grid computing, Oracle’s free 10g
Database Express Edition and Oracle 10g
Application server.
Mr. John Ambrogio, General Manager for
Megabyte Ltd., highlighted the need for SMEs
to deploy ERPs across all areas of the SME’s
business. Oracle’s SME products are
essential to enable SMEs to meet their
target markets, retain customers and
overcome their competitors. Mr. Ambrogio
emphasized that SMEs require an integrated
system that embraces business intelligence
tools, and that Oracle’s solutions and
Megabyte’s expertise have the ability to
empower such business.
