Megabyte provides operations management for systems which, have been implemented by Megabyte or for existing customized systems. In system administration, we seek to combine system administration skills as well as technical and user relation skills. Thus, operations management services are offered at different levels of involvement. At the basic level, operations services provided at consultancy and supervisory levels whereby assistance is provided in the initial phases of the implementation. The user is guided in the setting of procedures to complement the computer information system. Operations staff is assisted in getting an in depth knowledge of the system and in acquiring the necessary skills for providing a smooth running of the system.
On a more on-going basis, aid is given for particular issues arise, or for developing and adapting existing operations to new requirements, software, hardware and communications. With these objectives in mind, Megabyte has successfully provided operations management to the Malta VAT and Lotto Departments. On a more demanding basis, a customer might request that operations management is conducted entirely by Megabyte's staff. This will normally occur for systems of a critical nature such as the Malta Electoral System, where Megabyte has conducted operations for General and Local Elections since 1992. In this case, a sound technical knowledge as well as the ability to provide reliable and flexible services were determinant in providing successful operations within a critical environment.
For the on-going provision of operations services to our customers, Megabyte is able to offer services on-call and on a 24-hour day basis.
