The HP StorageWorks SAN director 2/128 and 2/128 power pack provide the high availability and high performance features required in Data centre SAN implementations supporting mission critical applications. With 128 ports of concurrently active 2 Gbit/sec full duplex ports in a single domain, the SAN director 2/128 offers scalability for large core-to-edge SAN architectures. The accelerated redundant processors and advance routing enables the SAN director 2/128 to deliver next-generation performance with faster fabric services. The SAN director hardware and software architecture supports “five nines” availability with such advantages as hot-swappable FRUs, redundant central processors with stateful failover, and concurrent hardware and software upgrades. The introduction of the SAN director 2/128 and 2/128 power pack extends the StorageWorks B-Series product line and demonstrates a commitment to investment protection through complete compatibility with the installed base.
